John A. Stegeman

John Stegeman, president and chief executive officer, began his career
with Ferguson as a management trainee in Herndon, VA, in 1985. After his first assignment as manager of the satellite in Gloucester, VA,
Stegeman continued to advance in the company, holding various management
positions in three key Ferguson business groups: plumbing,
air conditioning and waterworks. Stegeman made a major impact on
the waterworks business group, where he was senior vice president
before being named chief operating
officer of Ferguson in May 2005. He
was appointed to the position of
chief executive officer in September
2005. Stegeman is the recipient of
three President's Awards for
Achievement for the years 1998-
1999, 1999-2000, and 2000-2001.
Originally from Cumberland, RI, he is
a 1983 graduate of Virginia
Polytechnic Institute and State

Kevin Murphy
Chief Operating Officer |

Kevin Murphy, chief operating officer, is responsible for profit and loss and working capital initiatives at all
levels of the Ferguson organization. Murphy joined Ferguson in 1999 as an operations manager through
the acquisition of his family's business, Midwest Pipe and Supply. Following two years in the operations
role, Kevin was promoted to general manager of Ferguson’s Columbus, Ohio Waterworks location and then
became an area manager for the Northeast Waterworks region. In 2005, he was promoted to business
group manager for Waterworks and was then named vice president of Ferguson’s Waterworks operation in
2006. Originally from Columbus, OH, Murphy is a 1992 graduate of Miami University. |

Brad Miller
Chief Financial Officer |

Brad Miller, chief financial officer,
joined Ferguson in 1995 as manager
of finance for the corporate offices in
Newport News, VA. In 2000, he was
promoted to corporate controller and
in 2003, he was named vice president
of finance. Miller was appointed
to his current position in 2005.
Originally from Yorktown, VA, Miller
graduated from the University of VA
in 1989 and was awarded a MBA
from the College of William and Mary
in 1999. |
