Supply Chain Trainee Program
As Ferguson expands our market presence, as well as breadth of products and services offered, it is becoming more imperative that we develop a stronger “bench” within the organization from which we can draw talent. There is a need to bring the recruits up to speed as efficiently as possible while giving them broad knowledge of every aspect within the company. The 12 month Supply Chain Training Program is set up to provide a more structured program for supply chain trainees, which will make them a more valuable asset sooner, and help reduce the turnover in this early stage of their individual career.

As part of the model, several training locations have been identified within each geographic region based on the distribution center network. The training concept for supply chain is based on the idea that within the respective areas of the country that the BWO senior territory managers and distribution centers operate, there will be at least one training branch for each distribution center (excluding Pipe) that will develop the pool of talent for the dedicated and blended branches of that area.
